Accountability: Assurance that an individual or an organization will be evaluated on their performance or behavior related to something for which they are responsible.
Collaboration: A group of people working together towards achieving a common goal by sharing their ideas and skills
Integrity: The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles.
Transparency: Lack of hidden agendas or conditions, accompanied by the availability of full information required for collaboration, cooperation, and collective decision making.
Gwen Ballard started her career in Community Association and Property Management after obtaining a degree in Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University. She relocated to Summit County in 2016 from Northern Colorado after falling in love with all the activities this beautiful area has to offer.
Her career spans more than 19 years and Gwen earned the certification as Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) in 2003, and designations such as Association Management Specialist (AMS®) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) through the Community Associations Institute’s Professional Management Development Program. A PCAM® designation is the highest national designation any Manager can obtain. Gwen is also a member of the Colorado Legislative Action Committee (CLAC). CLAC is CAI’s official voice with legislators and regulators in a state. A LAC allows CAI to speak with one voice on legislative and regulatory matters that affect community associations, community association managers and CAI business partners. She is also an active member of the Summit County Chamber of Commerce and Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce and donates many volunteer hours to the communities.
At HillStar Management her focus is on building relationships within in the industry in order to provide our clients with the resources necessary to maintain and enhance property values and build a sense of community. HillStar was formed on the simple principals of accountability, integrity, transparency and collaboration. Community and Property Management is her passion.
When she’s not busy attending to business, she enjoys extracurricular activities such as snowboarding, camping, boating and off-road sports with her husband and kids.
